Anime Edit

Hi, I wanted to ask, are we allowed to add anime shows here? Like, ones that also exist in English, such as Pokemon. Can we add them under the "Animated shows" category? 40pxSuneo Honekawa32px 12:06, June 1, 2016 (UTC)

I would say you are free to add any shows that are shown in English ;) Just keep in mind there's two different animated categories - one for adults and one for younger audiences, so choose accordingly! Raylan13@fandom (talk) 17:31, June 2, 2016 (UTC)

Action television footer Edit

May I suggest that the shows on that footer should be moved to a Superheroes footer. Because there are other action shows that don't involved superheroes. Action shows like 24, Blindspot, The Blacklist and such are not exactly crime shows. You might to think about that. BattleshipMan (talk) 21:21, June 13, 2016 (UTC)

List Edit

How do i get the show, Clarence, to fit into the list and be approved like the other shows? NeoplanDan 11:00, July 3, 2016 (UTC)

Just find the genre the show fits into, then add it to the list. I'll come by later on and check things out, and if it meets the minimum requirements, I'll go ahead and put a check mark next to it and pop it into that genre's footer. ;) Raylan13@fandom (talk) 17:33, July 3, 2016 (UTC)
Ok, I'll come back to have the genre for the show. NeoplanDan 17:55, July 3, 2016 (UTC)
Ok, it turns out that the show's genre is Slice of Life and Comedy. NeoplanDan 03:55, July 4, 2016 (UTC)

(UPDATED) Hi, where can i get a show named "Big City Greens" (a upcoming show on Disney XD), added here? Also the genre of the show is Comedy/Adventure. Neoplan3399 -(talk) 15:48, August 5, 2017 (UTC)

Either in the Comedy (YA) of under the Animated (non-adult) ;) Raylan13@fandom (talk) 16:39, September 1, 2017 (UTC)
Just Comedy, and the series tv rating is TV-Y7.Neoplan3399 -(talk) 20:16, September 3, 2017 (UTC)
Feel free to list it under the Animated (non-adult) Submissions! Raylan13@fandom (talk) 17:59, September 5, 2017 (UTC)

Soap Opera footer Edit

Has anyone considered created footer template for Soap Opera (Daytime) like The Young & the Restless, General Hospital, Bold and the Beautiful (those that still airing on us television), but All My Children, Guiding Light, etc. Wanderer23 (talk) 15:01, September 30, 2016 (UTC)

It's been discussed, but due to low page counts and inactive communities, there's not enough to flesh out a footer. If any do make the cut, they'd be under the Drama footer. I believe there are some in the Network footers as well, but I'm currently working to update those and adapting them to the new format/guidelines. Raylan13@fandom (talk) 15:15, September 30, 2016 (UTC)
The drama folder is currently at 42. If you do decide, it might be a ood idea, since it would move the ones listed above along with Brookside, Casualty, Coronation Street and Emmerdale. Danielroxheaps 05:15, March 30, 2018 (UTC)
Absolutely - typically once a footer hits 50 entries, I try to go through and figure out what I can tease from it to fill a new footer. Raylan13@fandom (talk) 16:07, March 30, 2018 (UTC)

the CBS footer Edit

I notice that on CBS footer you got The Bold and the Beautiful (low page count) (http://boldandbeautiful.wikia.com/wiki/Special:WikiActivity) this isn't the first wiki for that show. the current one that was founded on June 21, 2010 (http://theboldandthebeautiful.wikia.com/wiki/TheBoldandtheBeautiful_Wiki) with 359 pages and is active. you might want to check it out. The one you have listed was founded by user Danbuckley on March 5, 2011 and founded both. Wanderer23 (talk) 18:47, September 30, 2016 (UTC)

Thanks :) I inherited the network footers, so have to have faith that the links are correct :P I've made the correction to the footer and the list. Raylan13@fandom (talk) 20:59, September 30, 2016 (UTC)

CSS Edit

Can you add an ID or class to the footers so that sites can target them with custom CSS? On the Underworld Wiki, the black border of the footer surrounding a transparent background on a nearly black page doesn’t look very good. Or are we not supposed to apply any styling to the footers? —yellowantphil (talk) 15:00, October 8, 2016 (UTC)

Sites have successfully applied CSS styling to their footers to tweak almost every aspect. If you're familiar with how to inspect elements of a page, you can grab where the border attribute is, for instance, and simply change it in CSS. Raylan13@fandom (talk) 16:10, October 10, 2016 (UTC)
Right, but the HTML is mostly just a bunch of divs with nary a class or ID in sight, so it's not easy to target it with CSS. I'll just wrap it in another div and put a class on that one. —yellowantphil (talk) 00:49, October 11, 2016 (UTC)

Defunct networks Edit

Hi!

Am wondering whether shows that were on the WB should be added to CW submissions?

Kind regards, Virvar (talk) 22:44, January 2, 2017 (UTC)

Unless the individual shows have been picked up by another network, they should probably be submitted via the genre footers. Good question ;) Raylan13@fandom (talk) 18:00, January 3, 2017 (UTC)

One link per wikia? Edit

Should there not just be one link per Wikia on any given footer? For example, on the Fox footer there are three separate links to Beverly Hills, 90210, Melrose Place and Models, Inc., all three of which are spin-offs of 90210 and so link to the 90210 Wikia. Having one link saying something like "Breaking Bad/Better Call Saul" seems reasonable, for people who are only familiar with one show, but listing every spin off separately seems like wasting the space on the footers. I mean, I could get my wiki listed for Season 1, Season 2, Season 3 all separately...--Acer4666 (Talk) 08:33, January 17, 2017 (UTC)

It doesn't really eat up any extra space - but, yes, normally there's only one link. I'll tweak that :P Raylan13@fandom (talk) 17:02, January 17, 2017 (UTC)
Speaking of the Fox footer, could we get 24 added to it? (it's on the list awaiting approval) cheers!--Acer4666 (Talk) 18:56, January 17, 2017 (UTC)
Yep ;) I get to submissions each Friday, so expect it to be added! Raylan13@fandom (talk) 20:34, January 17, 2017 (UTC)

A question about languageEdit

Hi,

I come from China, I came here just for ask.I want to put the FOX in Chinese in my Chinese wiki(中文维基),but I don't know how to change the language?

(Sorry, my English is not very good, some common mistakes please forgive me.)
(And wait?15:04?Is 23:04!Oh, right, the time difference.)

Aaa123456789 (talk) 15:04, January 20, 2017 (UTC)

Unfortunately, the footers are for English sites only, as there's no way to automatically swap the language. Communities in other languages would have to create their own footers ;) Raylan13@fandom (talk) 16:21, January 20, 2017 (UTC)
Oh, thank you all the same.What a pity!Aaa123456789 (talk) 03:06, January 21, 2017 (UTC)

Where do I submit? Edit

I'm looking at this article, but I can't find anywhere where I can submit my wiki. Maybe I just can't see it? Palettepony895 (talk) 03:35, February 10, 2017 (UTC)

Any site can be added to the "Submissions" section of each footer's section ;) Raylan13@fandom (talk) 16:03, February 10, 2017 (UTC)
So I can just edit, add my wiki, and wait for approval? Palettepony895 (talk) 18:37, February 10, 2017 (UTC)
Ayep Raylan13@fandom (talk) 18:39, February 10, 2017 (UTC)
Alright, thanks! Palettepony895 (talk) 18:40, February 10, 2017 (UTC)

Request move Edit

As admin on the Transformers and Gundam wikis I'd like them to be on the Sci-fi footer rather than the animated footer.--FortressMaximus #realcanon #TruEU #webuylegends (Talk) 17:22, March 11, 2017 (UTC)

I'd like to keep them where they're at - but I can also add them to the scifi footer, since they fit in both categories. Do you want the scifi footer added to your main pages? Raylan13@fandom (talk) 15:34, March 13, 2017 (UTC)
I definitely want Gundam out of the animated television footer and on the Sci-fi footer. It's not black comedy like Family Guy but it consists of a lot of mature animated shows and its following in Japan is more comparable to live action Sci-Fi in the united states. Also several series have aired on the Sci-Fi Channel (now SyFy).--FortressMaximus #realcanon #TruEU #webuylegends (Talk) 23:00, March 16, 2017 (UTC)
Done! Raylan13@fandom (talk) 15:16, March 17, 2017 (UTC)

Star trek ship in sci fi TV footer logo? Edit

I find it odd that there is a Star Trek ship prominently featured in the Sci Fi TV footer logo, but no actual Star Trek TV show wiki linked in the list. -- Fandyllic (wall · contr) 17 Mar 2017 8:14 AM Pacific

It's because Star Trek is arguably the most recognized and influential sci-fi television show. Aside from Memory Alpha, what other big ST sites do we have? Raylan13@fandom (talk) 17:24, March 17, 2017 (UTC)
Can Memory Alpha not be linked from that footer, to avoid confusion and make navigation easier for people on here? Even if they don't want the footer on their wiki, not having it linked from the footer is confusing when there is a star trek picture there--Acer4666 (Talk) 15:31, April 23, 2017 (UTC)
I'll probably just have the SG ring, then. Raylan13@fandom (talk) 15:05, May 5, 2017 (UTC)

Review Edit

Wondering if some of the footer additions could be reviewed, to keep relevant links on the footers, in line with the requirements at the top of the page:

  • In the Drama footer, This Is Us has 58 pages and has not been edited for a month
  • In the Drama footer, Good Girls Revolt has 19 pages and has not been edited since 2016
  • In the Fox footer, Pitch has 18 pages and has not been edited since September 2016

Thanks!--Acer4666 (Talk) 15:28, April 23, 2017 (UTC)

Reviews will happen in June! Also remember that newer shows have a different requirement for inclusion. Raylan13@fandom (talk) 15:04, May 5, 2017 (UTC)
Now that reviews have happened, can you expand upon Good Girls Revolt remaining on the drama footer? It still has 19 pages and has not been edited since 2016. It's hardly a new show; it's from last year and has since been cancelled after one season.--Acer4666 (Talk) 23:07, July 23, 2017 (UTC)
It was marked as "Fall", which means it has a different review date :P I went ahead and removed it. Raylan13@fandom (talk) 15:38, July 28, 2017 (UTC)

Breaking Bad / Better Call Saul Edit

Hello,
Is that possible to modify Breaking Bad into Breaking Bad / Better Call Saul in the AMC Footer, like the Drama Shows Footer ?
Thanks !

Done! You might not see a change immediately in the footer itself due to cache. Raylan13@fandom (talk) 15:28, May 12, 2017 (UTC)

Lifetime Footer & Devious MaidsEdit

Hi, is there any chance of getting a footer made for shows on the Lifetime network. Devious Maids would benefit from that. As of now there currently isn't one, so I've suggested that it be added to the ABC header as they actually own the show. Though I added and subsequently removed it, the show might also benefit being added to the drama footer. DeviousPeep (talk) 03:59, June 14, 2017 (UTC)

Feel free to add a Lifetime section in the network section - if there are enough sites submitted, with at least five approved, then the footer will be created ;) For now, Devious Maids would fit very well in the drama footer (as it doesn't actually air on ABC). Raylan13@fandom (talk) 15:05, June 14, 2017 (UTC)

Adding Legion Wiki to the relevant footers Edit

Legion Wiki's main page was revamped, so I think it is eligible to be added to the FX and science fiction footers now. MutantLivesMatter (talk) 11:56, June 19, 2017 (UTC)

Confused as to where to put my WikiEdit

Hi there! I apologize if I'm putting this in the wrong place.

So I'm the founder of the La Leyenda-Legend Quest wiki. It's a series of animated Mexican movies with an on-going Netflix animated series. Would it go under the Netflix footer, animated series (non-adult) footer or some other footer? --Darkanine. Feel free to send me a message! - I can chat anytime 19:26, July 24, 2017 (UTC)

Pan-series pan-network wikis Edit

Hello. I would like to put the idea of a television footer for pan-series pan-network wikis. I am the admin of The Tommy Westphall Universe wiki. It is a theory that has been around for a long while though not embraced by many. However, it would be nice if one day a television footer would be created for these kinds of wikis. The Tommy Westphall Universe is so general when it comes to genre and network, it would be impossible to place it in any of the current footers.

There may be other wikis out there that cover more than one series or franchise. Would it not be wonderful if we had a footer for our obsession for crossovers? Lady Aleena (talk) 01:36, September 30, 2017 (UTC)

It's certainly an interesting idea, though I don't know if it really fits within the scope of the existing footer project. Raylan13@fandom (talk) 15:37, October 2, 2017 (UTC)
I just wanted to put the idea out there. I don't think there are many crossover television theories like Tommy Westphall out there. However, if more should emerge, maybe there could be a footer for us. I just want to get my wiki out there somehow, and the Television wiki seems like a place to start. Lady Aleena (talk) 16:16, October 2, 2017 (UTC)

Channel 4 FooterEdit

Hi, are there any plans for a Channel 4 footer for shows like Brookside, Hollyoaks and Grange Hill? Thanks Danielroxheaps 09:44, January 13, 2018 (UTC)

User-requested channels can be submitted :) First, place it in the section with all the other channels, alpha-ordered, in its own subsection. Then, be sure to submit any sites with shows that are broadcast on it. Once enough sites agree to join (5 minimum), then a footer will be created and launched. Raylan13@fandom (talk) 17:12, January 16, 2018 (UTC)
Hi, so I just create a header saying "Channel 4", then ask wikis (eg: Hollyoaks wiki) if they want to be added, then add them to submissions? Danielroxheaps 23:13, January 16, 2018 (UTC)
Yep, just a header like so within the channels list: === Channel 4 ===. I prefer to do the outreach to sites, so you can list them all in the section and I'll run through them all on Friday :) Raylan13@fandom (talk) 00:12, January 17, 2018 (UTC)
Thanks so much. Done that now. For wikis on shows that run all year what do I do? For now I've put them with Icon past. Thanks Danielroxheaps 04:34, January 28, 2018 (UTC)

Yep, Icon past would be the best fit, I think. You can always put (YL) next to it so I remember ;) I'll give them all a look this Friday! Raylan13@fandom (talk) 17:11, January 29, 2018 (UTC)

Thanks! By the way, I've made more edits to Brookside to make it look better, if it still needs a "main page revamp" could you please inform me why? Thanks Danielroxheaps 22:23, February 8, 2018 (UTC)
Looks good! Raylan13@fandom (talk) 20:48, February 9, 2018 (UTC)
Fantastic, thanks so much. Hoping by Friday I can a footer to the site! Danielroxheaps 02:26, February 10, 2018 (UTC)

So in building the new footer today, I found there are two other footers that have largely been abandoned. I combined the lists into the section and will take some time next week (I know, delays!) to put the three of them together. Barring not meeting requirements, any site that is currently in either existing footer will be placed into the new one. Raylan13@fandom (talk) 19:18, February 16, 2018 (UTC)

Ah, that's great! Take as long as you need, and if you need any help let me know. 19:46, February 16, 2018 (UTC)

Add BCG to the TV-Y7 Edit

-Hi, I wanted to ask any admin on how do I add Big City Greens to the TV-Y7? (since the series is rated under the said rating) NeoplanDan 01:42, June 21, 2018 (UTC)

It's already been submitted to the Animated (non-adult) section ;) Raylan13@fandom (talk) 15:29, June 21, 2018 (UTC)

Transformers: Prime wiki has been approvedEdit

Just to let Raylan know, Transformers: Prime Wiki has been approved by an admin to be included in a footer. - Vozhan 21:46, August 31, 2018 (UTC)
